Waste Management of Southern California Welcomes Clara Vera and Glenda Chavez to Inland Empire Public Sector Team

Additions to Waste Management of Southern California's Inland Empire public sector team announced

Waste Management of Southern California announced the additions of Clara Vera and Glenda Chavez to the public sector solutions team as representatives building relationships with key contacts in the Inland Empire.

“Both Clara and Glenda make great additions to our team in the Inland Empire area,” said Doug Corcoran, area director of public sector solutions for Waste Management of Southern California. “They have both been very involved in the community and will be great assets in helping us to continue to build relationships with civic leaders.”

Vera previously served as a gift planning specialist at the University of California, Riverside implementing comprehensive communication and program plans. She currently serves as a board member of the Public Relations Society of America Inland Empire, University California Riverside Affiliates and the Inland Empire Planned Giving Roundtable and is a member of several others. Vera earned bachelor degrees in business management and human resources as well as a master’s degree in public administration from California State University, San Bernardino.

Chavez joins Waste Management with more than fifteen years of experience working in both the public and the private sector. Chavez previously served as a government relations specialist for a Southern California textile recycling company developing community programs that promoted recycling awareness, green initiatives and community involvement. She is currently a member of the American Society of Public Administration and Pi Alpha Alpha. Chavez earned her bachelor’s in political science from the University of La Verne and is pursuing her master’s in public administration from California State University, Long Beach.
