Wildomar Welfare Check Ends In Pursuit, DUI Arrest: Sheriff
On Tuesday, Riverside County Sheriff's Department officers learned of a Wildomar man "talking incoherently, saying he had a weapon."

LA CRESTA, CA — Deputies making a welfare check in Wildomar this week ended up in a vehicle pursuit into De Luz that ended in one man's DUI arrest, Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.
"On Tuesday, shortly after 1:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 22800 block of Palomar Street in Wildomar to check the welfare of a caller who was making incoherent statements," a spokesperson from the sheriff's department told Patch. The caller stated he was armed and was driving through Lake Elsinore.
"The Sheriff’s helicopter was dispatched, and they located the subject, who was standing outside his vehicle armed with a handgun in La Cresta," they said. "The helicopter directed deputies to where the subject was, but the subject fled in his vehicle when they attempted to contact him."
