1 Killed In Pileup On 5 Freeway
A person was killed in a the (5) Freeway in Lake Forest, and the freeway was shut down as one person involved threatened to run into traffic
LAKE FOREST, CA — A five-car pileup on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Lake Forest left one person dead Saturday and snarled traffic for miles.
The crash was first reported at 12:44 p.m. on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway at El Toro Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash forced the closures of the number 2 HOV lane and traffic lanes 1, 2, 3 and 4. The CHP issued a SigAlert that lasted until just before 3 p.m.
Witnesses reported that four or five vehicles were involved in the HOV and number 1 freeway lanes, the CHP said.

At 1:36 p.m. the CHP reported that a party wanted to jump in front of traffic. It was not clear whether that person was the deceased.
