Hours Long Wait At Guardians Of The Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!
Disney California Adventure park visitors waited for over 7 hours to see the newest attraction: Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!

ANAHIEM, CA — Hurry up, and wait! Visitors to Disney California Adventure's newest attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! waited up to seven hours over the weekend to take part in this wild and irreverent adventure.
The ride itself is loaded with fun, action and heroic Guardians of the Galaxy adventure but the real trip starts the minute you walk under the Fast Pass gate.
That enormous multi-hued structure in the former location of Tower of Terror has transformed into something otherworldly and completely unique.

You can bet that visitors to Disney California Adventure will make a bee-line straight for The Collector's Traveling show to see The Guardian's of the Galaxy on display for all of Terra (that's Earth to you and me) to see. And you'll need to be prepared for some lengthy wait times to do it.
If you are made of sturdy stuff, you might consider waiting in the stand-by line. Thankfully, the creators of the ride have given you hidden gems to look for when you venture inside the traveling collection of Tanaleer Tivan (AKA The Collector).

Here are Ten Things To Look For While Waiting In Line:
1. The Gardens:

Yes, your line wait will more than likely swirl you around Tivan's Traveling Collection outer gardens. Take the time and smell the roses. Notice new species of other-worldly looking plants have moved in for the duration. While you are walking around the outer courtyard, look for some new flora and fauna that may have come from other realms.
2. The Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission; BREAKOUT! Show
Characters will meet and greet and perform outside of the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! ride from time to time. See Gamora, Star-Lord, Groot and more outside and take part in the performance.
Meeting up with Groot has to be one of the high points of a new visit to Disney California Adventure. There has never been a more sincere, adorable, tall dark and ... viney hero. He is Groot, and he is awesome.

Wait to meet him, and you will see why.
3. The Collector's Staff, and Statue
New uniforms, new quirks, this tower is famous for integrating storytelling into the entire attraction. Interact with the staff and see who wants to stay, or who would rather Breakout!

Walking in, you'll see Tivan, holding his signature pet-thing that may or may not be some species of iguana gone chromosomally wrong. Take a look, snap a selfie, and remember to #SummerofHeroes #HeroUp to be part of the story.
4. Name That Collectible

Once you reach the lobby of Tivan's Traveling Collection, take care that you don't wake any of the more dangerous ones up. Living dream eaters (you'll notice it with it's big, slimy looking multi-eyed surface), space dogs and more than a few Easter Eggs from your favorite Marvel films.
When you're stuck in line, moving at a snail's pace, each item--frozen in stasis--will offer a little tidbit of fun. And when you return, things may or may not be exactly where the Collector left them. According to Marvel Entertainment's Ryan Gallego. Marvel's team has brought the characters, comic book elements and the feature films to life inside the structure and in every nook and cranny.
Just see how many you can find, and share with us in comments.

Just hope that Ultron doesn't wake up.
5. Get Ready For BioScans
The only ones who can move around inside the collection are Terrans (you and me). In order to gain access to the Gantry Lifts--the only way to gain clear access into the heart of Tivan's collection, where The Guardians of the Galaxy are being kept--you'll be asked to show your hands for bioscans--the bane of Rocket's existence. His hands don't scan. Take part in the fun and show your hands at each doorway.
6. The Collector's Private Office

Here's where the show really starts. Once inside, take a moment to look around if you can. Look inside every cabinet and see if you can find the one thing that Star-Lord really wants.
There are hidden treasures for fans of Marvel Entertainment everywhere. Situate yourself so that you have a clear view of the screen, and the air duct. This is where your mission will be explained to you, with that furry red panda's signature style.
7. The Mission: BREAKOUT!
Following Rocket into the Gantry Lift shaft, it's time for the fun to begin. Look for hidden gems, Easter eggs, and even a character or two from Disneyland who might be inside.
8. Listen Close...
As you walk toward the Gantry Lifts, the musical themes behind the scenes were composed by the same artist who composed the feature films. Tyler Bates scored the musical components for Director James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2."
9. The Gantry Lifts
Once outside the lift shaft, take your place and wait for your chance to join in on Rocket's big plan. Breaking the Guardians of the Galaxy out! The lifts themselves have had a "face lift" and the staff working the doors may or may not be on the side of Tivan or the Guardians. Be sure you listen carefully to all of their instructions before you...uh...take off.
10. Prepare For The Wildest Ride At Disney California Adventure!
This is an attraction that must be experienced. Whether or not Tower of Terror or that type of ride freaked you out in the past, there is nothing like stepping inside this Marvel-ous ride. It is action-packed with six different themed pulse pounding music and experiences to match.
You never know what soundtrack will be matched with your interactive high definition experience with some of your favorite film characters and of course, the motion ride.
Prepare for floating, falling, soaring and endless entertainment. See characters you love, laugh out loud with the irreverent humor and wacky dialog as you become part of the Guardians of the Galaxy story.
And listen to what they say when you're being belted in. Objects tend to shift during flight. Or float off of your head.

It's almost impossible to be scared while you're laughing out loud. Enjoy this adventure, become part of the story and with special things to watch for, even those lengthy wait times can be an adventure.
