2 Juveniles Arrested In South OC Jewelry Store Smash-And-Grab

Three suspects in total were arrested Saturday on suspicion of robbing over $55,000 worth of jewelry from a jewelry store in Irvine.

IRVINE, CA — A 21-year-old Moreno Valley man and two juveniles were arrested Saturday on suspicion of stealing over $55,000 worth of merchandise from a jewelry store in Irvine, the Irvine Police Department reported.

The robbery happened at around 5:04 p.m. on Saturday, when three suspects who were dressed in black entered the Kay Jewelers store at the Irvine Spectrum Center, according to the IPD.

After entering, they smashed several display cases before fleeing the area in a four-door Honda car, police said.

Police found the suspects off the 5 Freeway exit at Jamboree Road, where they recovered the stolen merchandise and arrested the three suspects in the car. Their identities were not released.
