23-Month-Old Girl Struck And Killed By Amazon Delivery Van In Irvine
A toddler was killed by an Amazon delivery van in Irvine on Tuesday, authorities said.
IRVINE, CA — Irvine police officers are currently investigating a horrific fatality, after a toddler was struck and killed by an Amazon delivery van in Irvine on Tuesday.
Police were investigating the collision, which was reported just after 3:30 p.m. near the 300 block of Estancia in Irvine, the Irvine Police Department said.
"Preliminarily, it appears a collision occurred in the parking lot between an Amazon van and the child," police wrote in a statement.

The van is operated by a third party contractor, authorities said. First responders arrived quickly but she had already died, police said.
The collision remains under investigation but police said "drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor."
