A Cafe Wags Its Way Closer to Completion

Five things for today.

Here's what's going on, you know, in general.

  1. That picture you see to the right is of the nearly completed bar that'll be in , a healthful, dog-friendly eatery that's opening in about three weeks on Rancho Parkway. Owner Scott Sellman says the website for the joint is about 70 percent done, with most of the future menu items listed.
  2. As , the begins expansion construction Monday. Yesterday, the park posted a picture of dirt on its Facebook page, saying, "Love seeing fresh dirt in the future expansion area!" Also posted was news that the main skate park parking lot be closed for the duration of the construction; instead, park on Rancho Parkway or the upper parking lot.
  3. 's Winter Formal is on Saturday at the Yorba Linda Community Center center. OMG, who are you going with?
  4. Foothill Ranch-based Applied Voice & Speech Technologies Inc. just signed a long-term deal with a company that provides "cloud computing" capabilities. Cloud computing generally refers to the ability to store information to be retrievable from a network—think of saving photos to your hard drive (the old way) versus saving them to Facebook (the cloud). AVST is a company that helps other companies improve their communication capabilities: phone, voice mail and the like.
