REPUBLICAN NOMINEE FOR U.S. SENATE ELIZABETH EMKEN TO SPEAK AT LOCAL TEA PARTY GROUP MEETING
Is It Time for Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Retirement?
Republican nominee for United States Senate Elizabeth Emken is set to speak at the next meeting of the South Orange County 9-12 group, on Friday, August 17, 2012, at Christian Mission Church, 27812 Forbes Road, Laguna Hills, CA 92677. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Elizabeth Emken will present her perspective and solutions on the issues facing our state as well as the nation. A short Q&A session will follow. Only two names will appear on the ballot for the Senate seat this election providing more of a challenge to incumbent Senator Feinstein.
Elizabeth Emken is a qualified candidate. She is familiar with “the Hill” as she has been working for over a decade serving as an advocate for developmentally disabled children, most recently as Vice President for Government Relations at Autism Speaks, the Nation's largest science and advocacy organization devoted to the public health emergency of autism. Just as important, while at IBM she worked in management, financial analysis, and corporate operations as an efficiency and cost cutting expert, something our legislators in California and our nation desperately need to focus on. Elizabeth graduated from UCLA in 1984 with degrees in economics and political science. She is confident and has the experience and leadership ability to challenge the old guard.
The second speaker is nationally recognized Dr. Gina Loudon credited as one of the 100 founding members of the Tea Party movement. Dr. Gina Loudon is a political analyst appearing regularly on FOX News and Business, and is a regular contributor on Townhall.com, FoxNews.com, and World Net Daily. She just released her new book, Ladies & Gentlemen: Why the Survival of Our Republic Depends on the Revival of Honor.
