Apartment Complex Fire Doused By OC Firefighters In Lake Forest

Two adults were treated for smoke inhalation as a result of the fire Saturday, authorities said.

LAKE FOREST, CA — Orange County firefighters doused a fire burning in an apartment complex in Lake Forest Saturday, the OC Fire Authority reported.

The call was reported a little after 3 p.m. Saturday in the 23000 block of Village Drive, authorities said. The fire was actively blazing on the second story of a single unit in an apartment complex.

Firefighters attacked the blaze rapidly, hosing down the outside before tackling the inside of the unit. Two adults were treated for smoke inhalation as a result of the blaze, authorities said.

Thanks to the fast effort of OC firefighters, the fire did not spread to any of the surrounding units.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No further information was immediately available.
