Art & Creativity for Healing's Fundraising Success

Art & Creativity for Healing's Palette of Colors Celebrating Creativity Fundraiser Nets Record $90K for Healing Programs

Art & Creativity for Healing netted a record $90K at their Palette of Colors Celebrating Creativity Dinner & Auction Gala on June 2 at Chuck Jones Center for Creativity in Costa Mesa. Over 250 guests in colorful cocktail attire attended the 18th annual fundraiser in support of Art & Creativity for Healing’s emotional healing workshops utilizing art and creative expression for individuals living in pain, grief, fear or stress.

An event highlight was during the funding request for four scholarship programs to benefit CHOC Hospital’s Visiting Art Angel Bedside Program; Out of the Darkness: Women Survivors Program; Expressive Painting for Teens; and Healing for Heroes and their Families Program. The fundraising goal for all four programs was $20K which was far exceeded with donations of over $57,000.

“I am humbled by how many people value the Art for Healing work in the community. The amounts raised for our CHOC Bedside Visiting Art Angel, Out of the Darkness Women Survivors, Raging Colors for troubled teens, and Healing for Heroes and their Families/Wounded Warriors programs superseded all prior years,” said Laurie Zagon, Art & Creativity for Healing’s Founder and Executive Director.
