Artists Invited To Exhibit At Skatepark Show

Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest is seeking artists to play a role in its April fundraiser.

Artists are invited to show their work for free at an upcoming exhibition at Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest.

The four-hour show on April 21 is open to all types of artists, from painters to photographers. Live art is also encouraged.

"We will this year be opening up the show to all mediums including photo, painting, handcrafted goods, sculpture and anything else," said Nick Gates, park coordinator.

Submissions must be family friendly. Artists can sell their pieces during the event.

This is the third year for the annual art show, dubbed "The Gathering," which raises money for the skate park's operation.

New this year is a live auction, to which artists are encouraged to donate at least one piece. Proceeds from the auction will go to the skate park.

It's free to enter the show and free to attend.

"The Gathering" art show begins at 6 p.m. and runs through 10 p.m. at Lake Forest's skate park, at 20028 Lake Forest Dr.
