Assault At Heroes Park Leaves Two Injured, Los Alisos Shelters

Officers sought suspects after an attack occurred Friday. Multiple agencies assisted and Los Alisos Intermediate School sheltered in place.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Orange County Sheriff's Department Deputies responded to an assault at Hero's Park in Lake Forest, Friday, officials said.

"Two victims were left with head injuries" during that attack, according to OCSD Lt. Quyen Vuong.

Officers established a perimeter and the OCSD helicopter, Duke, searched from the air while deputies searched on the streets for suspects.

"Due to the close proximity of Los Alisos Intermediate, we placed the school on Shelter-In-Place and our SROs stayed on campus as force protection," he said.

The shelter-in-place order was lifted a short time later, and the suspects were not found as of this report.
