LAKE FOREST, CA — A man crashed a car into a house in Lake Forest and then reportedly threatened two people with a pick-axe before authorities subdued him, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said Monday.

Deputies were called at 11:54 a.m. Monday to the 2200 block of Robin Street after a gray Kia sedan slammed into a house, Orange County Sheriff's Sgt. Michael Woodroof said.

When the driver got out of the car he 'obtained' a pick-axe and threatened two people, he said.

Deputies subdued the man, who was not identified by authorities, with less-than-lethal weapons and took him to a local hospital to be treated for a head injury that he suffered in the crash, authorities said.

No one was injured in the crash or the incident with the pick-axe.
