Ball4ACause - End-of Summer Community Charity Event
Free and open community charity event.
On Saturday, August 22, 2015, Ball4ACause.org will host an end-of-summer fundraising event on behalf of the Boys & Girls Club Lake Forest Programs. The event will be held at the new Lake Forest Sports Park & Recreation Center, located at 28000 Rancho Parkway, Lake Forest, CA 92630, and is free and open to the entire community.
Featured events will include a 3-on-3 Youth & Adult Basketball Tournament, Charity 3-Point, Slam Dunk and Skills Challenges, Special Olympics Exhibition, Professional Wheelchair Exhibition, Live Music & DJ, Adopt-A-Pet Exhibit, Kids Healthy Living/Eating Exhibit, Fitness Zone, Family Fun Games & Activities, Hip Hop Dancers & Performers, Graffiti Artists, Face Painting, Activewear Outlet, and a selection of the top food trucks and dessert vendors in Orange County.
The purpose of this event is to first recognize all the great work that the Boys & Girls Club Lake Forest Programs is currently doing in our community. Starting Fall 2015, they plan to offer an after-school program at least three days per week which will run through the entire school year through the summer of 2016. “Our goal is to have over 100 children registered in the program and to be operating at least four days per week,” said Dave Carter, board member of Lake Forest Programs. “Reaching this milestone qualifies their program to file for a club charter from Boys & Girls Club of America. We are almost there. Ten more children and an additional day of operation for the duration are required to submit a charter request.”
