LAKE FOREST, CA — A crash between a big rig and a garbage truck in Lake Forest shut down a stretch of Bake Parkway in all directions Monday afternoon, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported. Police urged drivers to stay away from Bake Parkway between N Pointe Drive and Cooks Bay Drive, near Commercentre Drive, until 4:30 p.m.

The incident was reported around 12:30 p.m., and no one was seriously injured as a result of the crash, OCSD Public Information Officer Todd Hylton said.

According to Hylton, the crash site will take several hours to clear on account of the large vehicles involved in the collision and some gasoline spills that need to be cleaned up before Bake Parkway can open again.
