Bomb Scare At North OC Convenience Store
Police evacuated the neighborhood around Euclid Street & Trask Avenue after employees of the 7-Eleven reported a possible bomb inside a car.

GARDEN GROVE, CA —Police and bomb squad personnel investigated a "suspicious package" inside of a Mustang convertible parked in front of a 7-Eleven in Garden Grove Wednesday, officials said. One suspect was arrested, and roads remained closed until after 4 p.m. due to the investigation.
Hours earlier, an unidentified man walked into the 13000 block of Euclid Street 7-Eleven store, according to Garden Grove police Lt. Carl Whitney. He asked the employees if there were cameras in the store because he wanted them to record what was about to happen outside, according to Whitney.
After he ran off, employees of the 7-Eleven then called the police.

Arriving officers discovered that the Ford Mustang held a fertilizer tank sitting in the driver's seat. Hoses and other items were "coming out of the car," Whitney said. The Mustang also had "some sort of message written on it," he said.
Orange County Sheriff's Department bomb squad reported to the area to assist, while officers searched for and ultimately apprehended a male suspect. The roads, businesses and homes nearby the 7-Eleven remained evacuated, with traffic was rerouted away from the scene until after 4 p.m.
