Brush Fire In Lake Forest Knocked Down By OC Firefighters

The fire was reported Monday afternoon near Vintage Way in the City of Lake Forest.

LAKE FOREST, CA — A brush fire was held to a quarter-acre Monday in Lake Forest, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

The fire broke out shortly before 5 p.m. Monday afternoon near Vintage Way, firefighters said.

According to firefighters, an aggressive attack on the blaze held it to a quarter-acre before it was knocked down completely.

The brush fire comes after a Red Flag Alert was issued across inland Orange County due to high winds and low humidity.

"Our crews remain on high alert, ready to protect Orange County during this critical fire weather event," firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
