Brush Fire Reported In Lake Forest Friday

LAKE FOREST, CA — A brush fire ignited in south Orange County Friday afternoon, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

The fire was reported shortly before 5 p.m. Friday on Vintage Way in the City of Lake Forest, authorities said.

“Firefighters are on scene of a vegetation fire near Vintage Way in Lake Forest,” firefighters said in a statement. “With our numerous resources prepositioned specifically for this red flag event, an aggressive fire attack was launched resulting in forward progress already stopped.”

The size of the fire was not immediately known.

No evacuation orders were issued as of 5:16 p.m. and no injuries were reported.
