Capstone Federal Credit Union is a federally insured, member owned financial cooperative. Our purpose is to serve our members by providing savings, loans and other services in a convenient, equitable and competitive manner. Our members are the bedrock of our credit union. Member-owned and not-for-profit, we’re a financial cooperative that puts your needs first. Our core responsibility is to actively serve our members and the communities they live in whenever possible. Our membership is comprised of a diverse social and economic group, and that’s the way we prefer it. We can only strengthen our credit union through a wide-ranging spectrum of worldviews and ideas. At Capstone FCU, we recognize the value of demographic diversity in our staff as well as volunteers. For this reason, we strive to bring people of diverse backgrounds and experiences into leadership roles at the credit union. We consistently communicate our service to members in a meaningful way so that members, potential members and the community at large will understand and appreciate the unique role that member-owned financial cooperatives can play in their lives. We promise to build our members’ financial strength by helping them to become financially self-sufficient and successful. We further this through consumer education and staying at the forefront of leading-edge ideas and educational programs. The financial strength of the credit union is maintained through annual board elections, periodic focus groups, committee involvement and diversity programs. We also provide financial and in-kind resources to others within the credit union community, and participate in cooperative activities from a local to a national level when appropriate. Capstone FCU also supports other public service activities ranging from the Alzheimer’s Association to the United Way.
