We are hosting a small, hands-on cooking class focused on the art of "Ichiju Sansai" — the traditional Japanese breakfast balanced for energy and gut health.
We’ll be using Koji (authentic fermentation culture) to create a meal that is gentle on digestion but packed with Umami flavor. If you want to learn how to prepare a wholesome, healing meal from scratch, come cook with me! 🍚🐟
No experience needed — we cook, have fun, and eat together! 
Participants will:

A Koji Basics Workshop&nbsp;will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 1:00 PM at Taste Eatery in Lake Forest, focusing on learning how to make Koji-based seasonings and the power of Japanese fermentation.
Discover Koji, the fermentation culture behind Japanese cuisine. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll make your own seasonings and take home over $27 worth of koji-based products. Experience how fermentation enhances flavor and nutrition through guided tastings and demos. Your creations will finish fermenting at home, with the knowledge and confidence to use them daily.
This class is open to ages 14+; participants 17 and under must attend with an adult.
