Car Ignites On 5 Freeway In Irvine Monday Morning
The car fire was reported at 10 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway near Jamboree Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

IRVINE, CA — A car ignited on the Interstate 5 freeway traveling through Irvine Monday morning, prompting California Highway Patrol officials to issue a SigAlert for the freeway near Jamboree road.
The car fire was reported at 10 a.m. in the center divider of the southbound side of the freeway. The fire resulted in slow-moving traffic for a handful of miles on the freeway Monday morning.
California Highway Patrol officials issued a SigAlert for the area at 10:05 a.m. The SigAlert is expected to last an hour.
