Carport Fire Totals Two Cars In Tustin
An early morning carport fire totaled two vehicles at a Tustin apartment complex early Tuesday.

TUSTIN, CA — An early morning fire began in an open carport area and extended into a Tustin apartment building. The fire destroyed two vehicles, authorities said. No one was hurt in the blaze that broke out just after 2:30 a.m. in the 15700 block of Williams Street, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
The fire was knocked down in approximately 20 minutes by the 23 firefighters who responded to the scene.
"Five individuals were displaced in the fire that extended to the apartment above," Kurtz said. "Damage is estimated at $90,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Tustin Police."

The cause of the fire was under investigation, and Red Cross is assisting the displaced adults.
