At my suggestion we are now offering an “advanced” child safety class for kids from K to 6th grade who completed the basic class. The classes will start on April 23 and go through May 14, every Monday night from 6 pm to 7:30 at the City Hall.
According to the course description “The curriculum focuses on the physical (strength, cardio, nutrition), mental (personal and verbal defense skills, situational awareness), and emotional (self-awareness, self-confidence, self-control) aspects designed to empower kids. Wearing their GET SAFE t-shirts and bracelets, students will hear some important safety and awareness information from experienced trainers and engage in fun activities that helps them learn and retain the information needed to avoid danger and protect themselves. “
Click Here to register. There are only 26 spots available. Your child must have completed the basic Child Safety Academy to qualify for attending this advanced course. The Basic course will be taught again in the Fall.
