City Council Preview - Sept 4

Here's what's coming up Tuesday Night.

Here's what's coming up Tuesday Night.

CIVIC CENTER

The Civic Center project is the biggest project in the City's history. When finished (Fall 2019) it will cost about $72,000,000. So far we are on time and on budget, but as the project swings into full gear we thought it best to formally present an update on how things are going. I have been informally updated all along, but at this point it's now going to be a formal part of our agenda.

SENIOR CENTER

Seniors thought their center should have a name. Staff held a contest and the best we could come up with is "The Clubhouse". Council will be asked to approve the new name.

SOBER LIVING HOMES

Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, requested the opportunity to provide a presentation on the Orange County District Attorney’s Office’s (“OCDA”) efforts to investigate and prosecute “sober livings homes.” OCDA is taking a proactive approach to the proliferation of unlicensed, unregulated “sober
living homes” opening in the County and the subsequent problems that manifest with these homes.

PARTICIPATE ONLINE

Don't forget that you can log onto the city's website and go to Facebook Live and participate in the City Council meeting. We are the only City that allows citizens to participate fully online.
