Here’s what happened Tuesday night

COUNCIL COMPENSATION
Council decided to table the idea of raising compensation and it will not appear on the November ballot.
REDISTRICTING
Council is to return at the next meeting and discuss principles of districting, and possibly alter the existing districts. Also under consideration is when to initiate the districts. In 2020 we will have a new census and in 2022 we will have to re-draw districts based on the 2020 census. Based on this, we may have to change districts in 2018, again in 2020, and again in 2022, which may be far too confusing for many.

CAMERAS FOR VETERANS PARK
The idea of installing cameras on Veterans Park was raised and will come back to Council during the budget talks.
