Here’s what happened Tuesday night
COMMUNITY CHOICE AGGREGATION
Council directed staff to speak with the neighboring cities to determine if there is interest in a joint study (like we did with the costs of Police services). A joint study would not only reduce the costs, it would inform us whether or not our neighbors are potential partners in a JPA if we go that far.
CAPE MAY NAME CHANGE
Council directed staff to consider changing the name to “Artist’s Way” or “Artisan Way” and to talk with businesses bordering this street to determine if there is support for the name change.

NONPROFIT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
After hearing about the problems with the First responder Grab n’ Go project, Col. Cagley got consensus for the Council to re-visit the idea of a nonprofit community foundation. I supported the idea a few years ago but was opposed by Councilmen Hamilton, Voigts, and Robinson.
ADOPTION FROM COUNTY SHELTER
Due to the awful news about an animal adopted through the County’s “free” program, Mayor Pro Tem Basile got unanimous consensus for the City to send a letter to the County asking for better screening of potential adoptees.
