GENERAL PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The company preparing the General Plan offered broad guidelines for selecting the committee members. At my recommendation, some of these were changed by the Council -

  • High school student was changed to college student
  • Building Industry Association was removed
  • South County Economic Coalition was removed
  • Apartment Association representative was added
  • Shopping Center Manager was added
  • Business Council representative was changed to Top 10 employers in the City
  • Residential RE agent was specified to Top Selling Lake Forest RE agent
  • Commercial RE agent was specified to Top Selling Lake Forest RE agent
  • HOA representatives were changed to one representative each from a major HOA in FHR/PH and from 92630.

After much discussion, the Council voted (4 to 1) to allow the company to select the committee members with no oversight by the Council.
