City Workshop is a Great Benefit

If you missed this workshop you missed a great presentation

Last week the City held another one of its wonderful workshops, co-sponsored by SCORE. This one was called “Media Marketing” and it was hosted by Mark Mikelat from Building Aspirations. More than 50 people attended, although I only counted about half from Lake Forest. Mark had dozens of tips for beginners as well as advanced students, and shared lots of interesting facts. Here are just a few of many examples –

  • · 51% of people read their e-mails on their phones
  • · 17% check their e-mails on their phones before getting out of bed
  • · The average number on friends on FB is 250
  • · You have only 6 to 10 seconds to get someone’s attention

Be sure to check with the City’s website to find out when the next workshop from our Economic Development Department will be held. They are almost always excellent.
