Councilman Adam Nick's campaign hides Facebook ads, donations to Basile, slate expenses. What about promised transparency?

Adam Nick's campaign corruption continues - as a self-proclaimed accountant, I would think he understands how to do the actual accounting for his city council campaign. I guess I have too high of a standard for Adam Nick.

Here are the issues from his campaign filing for the period September 25th through October 22, 2016:

1. Donation to Leah Basile's campaign for slate mailers (which Basile reported)

Where are the slate mailers that Candidate Leah Basile reported as donations in Nick's campaign Form 460? These should have been reported as an contribution to her campaign (she reported them as a donation from his campaign). Nick's campaign needs to report it as a contribution to Basile's campaign as she reported it as a contribution received from Nick. Nick reported $0 in contributions to Basile's campaign.

Where are slate expenses reported? Basile reported her share of the slates totaled $4,000 which Nick paid. I would expect to see an $8,000 expense on his form. Again, Nick reported $0.

Anyone see the plethora of Facebook ads coming from Nick's campaign this year? I just included 6 different examples. Again, Nick reported $0.

4. Nick's 2nd contribution to Basile's campaign

Adam Nick paid for this mailed flier which support's Leah Basile's campaign. This should have been reported by Nick's campaign to Basile's campaign. Basile should have also reported this as a contribution from Nick's campaign. Again, Nick reported $0 in contributions to Basile's campaign. And Basile also reported $0 in contributions from Nick's campaign.

How many times will the authorities just accept Adam Nick's campaign Form 460 "as is." He has 4 major violations in just his most recent filing!

A thorough investigation into Adam Nick's corruption must be initiated.

Lake Forest voters deserve better.
