Councilmen Adam Nick and James Gardner just donated over $20,000 to campaign committee to attack city council colleague

A committee entitled “Citizens for Good Government in Lake Forest Opposing Robinson” has just received $20,000 of donations from only 2 Lake Forest residents. You guessed it: Councilman Adam Nick and Councilman James Gardner as detailed in the link below:

You may recall that Gardner and Nick gave over $30,000 of their own personal funds to the failed Recall attempt earlier this year, providing 97% of the recall funding from Lake Forest residents.

Between the two of them, they have personally donated over $50,000 in just 2016 to get rid of their city council colleagues.

This is an unheard of sum of personal money that has ever been spent in Lake Forest politics.

Rich and mysterious donor

As was detailed previously, “Nezhat Mahbod” who appears to be a foreign national from Iran, made an $8,000 donation along with Nick and Gardner’s $20,000 to this same campaign committee:

According to the article, Mahbod was listed as a woman on one internet site.
