CRYSTAL COVE STATE PARK - EARTH DAY, April 16, 2016
Volunteer to Garden in the Park at Crystal Cove State Park, April 16, 2016 from 9 am - 1 pm
Join Crystal Cove State Park, California State Parks Foundation and Edison International on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9 am - 1 pm as we 'Garden in the Park.' Meet at the Los Trancos lot (PCH inland at Los Trancos) Day use fee is waived for volunteers.
The Earth Day 2016 event will focus on beautifying the Historic District and will include: planting, weeding, mulching, trimming, watering, painting gates/fences, and beach clean-up. Bring work gloves, water, sunscreen and a hat. After a morning of hard work enjoy your lunch at one of the park's picnic areas or on the beach at beautiful Crystal Cove State Park.

With your efforts we may someday have the Lake Forest Community Garden Park at the Whispering Hills Park site so the children may learn about growing their own food, families can have recreation time together as a family, and the seniors who are a reservoir of knowledge and experience can share with those that are younger. A passive park with demonstration and learning garden areas, farm area, historical agricultural area, and a giving/sharing area.
