El Toro Exchange/Kindnest Foundation Does it Again!

Today El Toro High School Exchange/Kindnest Foundation Club had another successful opening. The donations that the club collected was made available to all students during the lunch time event. Almost 300 students participated in the free shopping spree that was organized by the new and graduating club members. These members; Dani Azua the incoming president, Noah Campbell, Josh Guarracino, James Nguyen as the DJ, Laura Warren, Kenny Ceballos, Michelle Linvile, and Maisy Norris were mentored by Ashley Fundingsland President/founder, who will continue serving on the club well after graduation.

During the opening someone asked Ashley Fundingsland how she got the idea and what was the initial purpose of the club and she explained it by stating "one of the most important things to a teenager is self-image, and if we can help improve the way one feels about themselves though El Toro Exchange/Kindnest Foundation then we have been successful. I am a strong believer that you are more successful when you feel better about how you look and feel. If I can help just one student come to school, feel better about themselves or help them get a job by having the right outfit then the we have done our job " I was very impressed with that while she was explaining the club operations and vision to the new members who they hand picked from a large group. She also stated that the club could not have been as successful if it were not for the support of the administration team of El Toro High School, especially Mrs. Gusiff, Mr. Bode and Mr. Begany (Assistant Principals) for stopping by. "They have helped us in every way possible, we are honored and humbled by their support" Ashley stated. All items not selected by students will be donated to Our Fathers Table and Village of Hope.
