Mission Viejo held an Emergency Preparedness event today that drew thousands of people. Co-sponsored by the County Supervisor Bartlett was there along with MV Council members Greg Raths and Wendy Buckham. Laguna Hills City Councilwoman Barbara Kogerman was also there, tossing hot dogs for the Rotary.
There were dozens of booths, including Animal Control, SWAT, Fire, CARE ambulance, etc. Every kind of vehicles was on display from boats to 100 ft extension ladder fire trucks and SWAT armored vehicles and helicopters. There was even a section for kids to play and an earthquake simulator.
Schools from Mission Viejo showed up, and there was even a parade from the High School to the Senior Center.

This was a great event and Lake Forest staff could learn from it.
