For this reason, we strive to bring people of diverse backgrounds and experiences into leadership roles at the credit union. We consistently communicate our service to members in a meaningful way so that members, potential members and the community at large will understand and appreciate the unique role that member-owned financial cooperatives can play in their lives. We promise to build our members’ financial strength by helping them to become financially self-sufficient and successful. We further this through consumer education and staying at the forefront of leading-edge ideas and educational programs. The financial strength of the credit union is maintained through annual board elections, periodic focus groups, committee involvement and diversity programs. We also provide financial and in-kind resources to others within the credit union community, and participate in cooperative activities from a local to a national level when appropriate. Capstone FCU also supports other public service activities ranging from the Alzheimer’s Association to the United Way.
