Fiery Crash Kills 1, Injures 4 In Orange County
The traffic crash was reported on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Jamboree in Tustin early Monday morning.

IRVINE, CA — One person died and four more were left with injuries after a crash was reported on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Orange County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was reported at 3:53 a.m. early Monday morning near Jamboree in the City of Tustin, authorities said.
When emergency crews arrived, they found several cars involved in the crash. Four people were found wounded and three were sent to local hospitals, with the fourth declining transport.

Their conditions were not immediately known.

The crash prompted authorities to issue several lane closures on the freeway while the incident was assessed.
Witnesses told the CHP five vehicles were involved and one of them caught fire, affecting the HOV lane and lanes 1, 2 and 3.
A SigAlert was issued at 4:10 a.m. for all northbound lanes, with traffic diverted off at Culver Drive in Irvine.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
