LAKE FOREST, CA — A member of a South Orange County all-girls Scouts troop spent time, energy, and elbow grease to share a little love with a south Orange County city.

She is part of Troop 7272, a division of the Boy Scouts that consists entirely of girls aged 11 to 17-years-old, according to the group's scout leader, Dea Del Rosario.

The troop, installed into order in 2019, has 22 members from Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita and San Juan Capistrano. The 2020 class marks the inaugural Eagle Scout class for this all-girl troop, Rosario says.

One troop member completed the troop's first Eagle service project in July, she tells Patch. The troop currently has four other Eagle Service Projects in the works.

Forced to conduct meetings virtually since the coronavirus shutdown, the troop has recently begun socially distant get-togethers, they say.

Teenage member Jénnáe, of Lake Forest, built and donated tables and benches for a patio outside of Lake Forest city hall, John Volke, a city spokesperson, said Thursday. This was her Eagle Service Project.

That patio has long sat empty, according to the Volke. Now, when being inside is not an option for many, the tables and chairs will come of great use in the time of coronavirus.

"A huge thank you to Jénnáe and family from Troop 7272 for building us these amazing tables and benches for our patio at our new City Hall," the city said. We are so grateful she chose us as the beneficiary of her Eagle Scout."
