1. A somewhat controversial beer-and-wine license for the 7-Eleven at Regency Lane and Lake Forest Drive will be before the Planning Commission tonight. Same goes for the question of whether the city should allow a new housing development to build homes that exceed certain height limits. The commission meets at at 7 p.m.
2. Cox Communications, which may well provide you with the Internet connection that allows you to read this very article, announced it is holding a contest to recognize South County locals who conserve a lot of energy. 4. Speaking of El Toro High, the Operation Smile Club has been holding a coin drive this week to help children with cleft lips. If you're on campus, bring change.
