Gateway Center "block party" is a Big Success
Food, prizes, coupons, and face painting make it a fun day
Hundreds of people showed up to the “block party” at the Gateway Center on Saturday to join the fun, participate in a raffle, get their faces painted, and get a chance to sample food from more than a dozen restaurants as well as gather discount coupons to use. It was a great event with music, speeches from Patrick Knox (the developer) and our Mayor. In addition to Mayor Voigts, Mayor Pro Tem Basile, Councilman Robinson, and I attended the official ribbon cutting.
This event shows how businesses can help reach more people. Maybe some of our other business centers will follow the model.
