Goat Yoga Open House Draws Zen Crowd In Lake Forest

We say 'Namaste' to goat yoga in Lake Forest. Or is that "bahhh-maste?" Either way, not sure we could hold any of these poses. Could you?

LAKE FOREST, CA —Is it possible to find your zen while baby goats frolic around your yoga mat? Probably not, but that didn't stop these Lake Forest residents from taking part in Saturday's sold out goat yoga experience.

Landsea Homes in Lake Forest sponsored the event which took place on the lawn, in a fenced area. Participants gathered in two separate sessions where they stretched out on yoga mats and attempted to hold their poses, or goats, as the case may be.

The IronRidge group partnered with Orange County Urban Agriculture and Livestock Rescue and the Fountain Valley Cloverdales 4-H club to put on the truly successful event.

Each of the two yoga sessions was "filled to capacity," a spokesperson told Patch.

"There were tons of giggles, cuddles," they said, and even "a tiny bit of zen," they said.

Other events will be held at IronRidge throughout the summer, including arts and crafts day, summer splash pool party and "corks and forks" which we truly hope means food and wine.

The group didn't say how many stayed to see the open houses, though if you are house hunting in Lake Forest, the vibe this group is creating would be worth the look.
