House Fire Critically Injures Woman In Irvine
The fire was reported shortly after 8 a.m. Monday in the City of Irvine, authorities said.

IRVINE, CA — One woman was critically injured in an Irvine house fire Monday, the Orange County Fire Authority said.
The fire was reported shortly after 8 a.m. Monday on Mariposa, firefighters said.
Upon arriving, firefighters found a fully active house fire with reports of a woman still trapped inside.

"Crews quickly searched through heavy storage conditions while simultaneously knocking down the fire," the OCFA said in a statement.
Firefighters were able to rescue one adult woman, who was given medical care before being taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Her status was not immediately known.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
