Irvine Toddler Struck, Killed While Riding Scooter
A baby girl riding her scooter on a sidewalk south on Creek Road was struck by a Honda Odyssey, police say.
IRVINE, CA — Irvine police Friday were investigating a fatal collision that killed a 2-year-old girl riding on a scooter.
Police and firefighters responded at 8:05 p.m. Thursday to the collision near the parking lot exit of the Cross Creek Apartments at 22 Creek Road, police said.
The girl was struck by a Honda Odyssey, police said. It appears the girl was riding her scooter on a sidewalk south on Creek Road when she was struck by the vehicle, police said.

The Honda's driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police, who do not think drugs or alcohol played a part in the collision.
The victim's name was not immediately available.

Motorists are advised that a portion of Creek Rd between Alton Pkwy and Barranca Pkwy is closed due to a traffic collision investigation.
