Irvine Woman Killed Thursday In 405 Freeway Fatality
An Irvine woman was killed when her car slammed into a disabled vehicle on the San Diego 405 freeway, Thursday.

IRVINE, CA — An Irvine woman was killed in a crash on the 405 freeway early Thursday morning, officials said.
The woman slammed her car into a disabled Nissan van on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Irvine, ending her life.
The woman, whose name and age were not immediately released, crashed her 1988 Honda Civic into a 2017 Nissan NV3500 in the southbound lanes of the freeway just south of MacArthur Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Nissan was disabled with a flat tire when the car crashed into it, the CHP reported. It was not known as of this report how fast the car was going.
The Nissan's driver -- Tom Chanh Lau, 72, of San Gabriel -- escaped injury.
