Dine Out This Week For Lake Forest Elementary

Families can help a local elementary school fundraise by eating dinner at five local restaurants.

Five local restaurants are offering families a chance to help fundraise for this week.

Each is offering the school a percentage of proceeds from dine-in customers between 5 and 8 p.m. at the restaurant on a specific night.

On MondayOutback Steakhouse is the Dine-Out Week restaurant; Tuesday, it's Wednesday (Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch and Mission Viejo locations); Thursday; and Friday.

"Education funding is limited so schools are getting creative about ways to raise money necessary for library, art, computer and other enriching experiences that we used to take for granted," said Lisa Cape Lilienthal, who shared the details of the fundraiser with Patch. "This week, local residents can simply bring this flyer to the restaurant, and a portion of proceeds will benefit Lake Forest Elementary School."

Diners need to print out and bring along the fundraising flyer for Dine Out for Education Week, as the event is called, to present at the restaurant showing that they are there to support the school. [See the flyer to the right of this story.]
