Kids Flip For Lake Forest Etnies Skatepark This Summer

Etnies Skate Park of Lake Forest is teaching kids how to skate safely and have a great time doing it.

LAKE FOREST, CA — The Etnies Skate Park staff love to teach the littles how to ride in Lake Forest, according to the city website. This summer, they are offering classes for residents who want to learn the basics of how to develop safe and fun skateboarding skills at the city's premier skate park.

Entrants are being accepted for the current and future skateboarding classes, for "Advanced Beginners" age 6 and over.

The current class in progress goes through July 26, on Thursdays, from 5 to 6 p.m. The next session begins Aug. 2, through Aug. 23, according to the city website.

This class is designed for first time skateboarders, they said.

"We cover skateboard basics from foot placement, pushing, turning, how to fall properly and general skatepark safety and etiquette," they described.

The class is designed for all ages and lessons can help develop the skills needed to succeed on your skateboard.

"Full protective gear consisting of a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads are required as well as a skateboard," they said.

Maximum enrollment is 10 students to 1 instructor.
