Lake Forest Appointments Open For Commissions, Committees, Boards

LAKE FOREST, CA — Applications are open in Lake Forest for future commission, committee and board members, according to the city.
The city of Lake Forest is accepting applications for the Planning Commission, Traffic and Parking Commission and Community Services Commission, according to a city spokesperson. Each commission has three seats open.
Legacy members of each commission include Jolene Fuentes and Jordan Villwock in the Planning Commissioners, Kelly Gould and Victor Scherr in the Community Services Commission, and Gerardo Camarena and Jim Fouste in the Traffic and Parking Commission.

All applications must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, according to the city.

The Planning Commission meets on the same week in which the City Council holds its first meeting of the month, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Members of the Commission review applications for new developments, proposed zoning changes and proposed land subdivisions.
Traffic and Parking Commission members meet on Mondays, the same week that the City Council gathers. Meetings are at 6:30 p.m., and members advise the City Council on issues related to parking and the safe and efficient movement of traffic, whether cars, bicycles or pedestrians and other types of transportation.
Community Services Commission members is the new title for the old Parks and Recreation Commission. They meet on Wednesdays the same week the city council gathers, at 6:30 pm. They review matters related to parks and recreation programs, according to the city.
