Lake Forest Car Crash Turns Fatal, Cops Seek Witnesses

A car crash on El Toro and Aliso Park ended as a fatality, Orange County Sheriff's Department said. Did you witness this incident, Monday?

LAKE FOREST, CA — A Monday traffic collision on El Toro Road and Aliso Park ended up as a fatality, Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

Two vehicles were involved in a crash at that intersection at approximately 12:30 p.m., Carrie Braun of the OCSD told Patch.

A red 2003 Hyundai Elantra was heading southbound on El Toro Road when they collided with a black 1991 Mazda Protégé that was making a left turn from El Toro Road onto Aliso Park Drive.

"Though it appeared that none of the injuries sustained in the crash were traumatic, a woman died hours later, from injuries sustained in the crash," Braun told Patch.

By the time officers learned that the woman died, the scene of the collision had already been cleared, Braun said. Now, they look to area witnesses to piece together the specifics of the crash.
