Lake Forest has 12th Lowest Crime in California

Lake Forest comes in at #12 in the list of “safest” cities in California based on the number of Type 1 Crimes per 1,000 people in 2016, the most recent year for which data was calculated. This survey looks at all California cities of any size. Click Here

Statewide, violent crimes averaged 4.4 per 1000 and property crimes 26.4 per 1000. In Lake Forest we had 1.26 violent crimes per 1,000 and 8.93 property crimes per 1,000.
