Lake Forest Holiday Happenings At Heritage Hill In December

LAKE FOREST, CA — It's the most wonderful time at OC Parks' Heritage Hill! Lake Forest residents and surrounding neighbors can gather over two weekends in December at the OC Parks Candlelight Walk and Holiday Lights events.

This is the 35th year that the Candlelight Walk is taking place.

Supervisor Lisa Bartlett, Orange County Board of Supervisors, Fifth District, discussed the return of the festive occasion in 2021.

“We are very excited for the return of Candlelight Walk and Holiday Lights to Heritage Hill Historical Park this year,” Bartlett said. “This is a wonderful way for families and friends to experience the magic and spirit of the holiday season as they stroll through one of our beautiful historic sites in Orange County.”

The Candlelight Walk is held on three enchanted evenings, according to organizers, on December 10, 11 and 12 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

"Stroll through the festive grounds and enter historical buildings adorned with décor fitting for the time period," a spokesperson for OC Parks says.

Once there, you can hear live musical performances, experience holiday-themed crafts for kids, and even visit with Santa!

Light refreshments will be available for cash purchase.

Holiday Lights is part two of the Lake Forest festivities.

This family-friendly fun begins December 17, 18, and 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

"Immerse yourself in the twinkling lights as you walk along the grounds taking pictures at the various holiday-themed photo opportunities," they say.

Holiday Lights welcomes pets outdoors on leashes no longer than six feet.

No entertainment or refreshments are available during the Holiday Lights event, according to organizers.

Both events are free, with free parking. Inclement weather may cancel the events.
