Lake Forest Little Leaguers Are District Champs
The team is headed to Garden Grove Saturday for the next level of competition.

A nail-biter victory over Rancho Niguel Little League last weekend propelled the all-star 9/10 Lake Forest Little League team to a district championship.
The 6-5 win to top the 10-team league means the team is headed to the Section 10 tournament in Garden Grove this weekend.
A win there would send the team to the next level: a sub-division tournament in the Corona area in the last week of July. Winners of the two sub-division tournaments held in Southern California will advance to play a best two-out-of-three series.

That's the end of the road for 9/10 Little Leaguers, as well as the 10/11 crowd. However, they have the 11/12s to look up to. The victors in that age group can head on to the Western Region tournament in San Bernardino, then Williamsport, PA, for the organization's main event.
