Lake Forest Officer Named "Deputy Sheriff of the Year"
Chet Parker receives Department's highest honor
Lake Forest was honored at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department 29th Medal of Valor luncheon last week. Deputy Sheriff Chet Parker was named "Deputy Sheriff of the Year", the highest honor the department can bestow.
Chet works as the Homeless liaison officer for the city since 2015. During this time he has helped over 50 homeless individuals find housing and assisted hundreds more with employment opportunities, mental health services, veteran’s services and hygiene kits. His work was recently recognized by a New 4 team and the videotape is available on the city's website. Click here to view the program.
Chet is pictured along with Mayor Pro Tem Basile and Police Chief Valentine to his right, and Councilmen Robinson and Gardner to his left. Mayor Voigts is in the front.
