We further this through consumer education and staying at the forefront of leading-edge ideas and educational programs. The financial strength of the credit union is maintained through annual board elections, periodic focus groups, committee involvement and diversity programs. We also provide financial and in-kind resources to others within the credit union community, and participate in cooperative activities from a local to a national level when appropriate. Capstone FCU also supports other public service activities ranging from the Alzheimer’s Association to the United Way.

Lake Forest was honored at the Orange County Sheriff's Department 29th Medal of Valor luncheon last week. Deputy Sheriff Chet Parker was named "Deputy Sheriff of the Year", the highest honor the department can bestow. Chet works as the Homeless liaison officer for the city since 2015. During this time he has helped over 50 homeless individuals find housing and assisted hundreds more with employment opportunities, mental health services, veteran's services and hygiene kits.
